Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator, Recreational Sports. The Coordinator of Recreational Sports manages all sport functions and events for Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS) and reports to the Associate Director of FRS. The Coordinator is responsible for staffing and managing the Intramural Sport (IM) program and administering all IM sales, customer service, discipline, supervision, hiring and training of student staff within the IM program. This position will work under the direction of the Associate Director to create and administer a new club sport model for the campus. This will include the transition of the program from its current home in Associated Students University of Nevada, to Fitness and Recreational Sports. This position will develop and implement unique sport experiences that support the campus goals in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. The Recreational Sport program promotes a healthy campus culture and incentivizes the campus community to participate in recreational sports. The Coordinator assists fellow professional staff in FRS in long-term planning and development to better fulfill the FRS mission and provide service to the campus community.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of related work experience OR a Master's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience.

Related experience: in a recreational setting to include supervision, facilities, programming, and/or promotions of both personnel and facilities

Certification and Licensure

Certificate in Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Instructor within first six months of employment date.
